Native American Advisory Council
The Hearst Museum’s Native American Advisory Council (NAAC) provides guidance to the Museum about matters of interest or concern to their constituents.
Membership is comprised of up to 11 people drawn from a wide range of backgrounds – including tribal officials, scholars, museum professionals, and artists – from tribes throughout California and Nevada. Meeting monthly, the Council advises the Museum on exhibitions, education, public programming, cultural policy, traditional care, and more. The Council was founded in 2013 by former director Mari Lyn Salvador.
