The Hearst Museum values descendant community involvement as a cornerstone of its day-to-day operations. These on-going relationships range from community-based exhibitions of objects, to the support of ceremonial events and performances, to educational programs for indigenous youth, to the repatriation of collections in compliance with federal law.
