Community Research

The Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology regularly welcomes visits from individuals, delegations, and educational programs from communities with cultural connections to the materials in the Museum’s care. Artists, linguists, educators, and cultural and religious authorities make frequent use of the Museum’s collections of photographs, sound recordings, and archaeological and ethnographic material.

Please see the Museum's updated Policy for Access to the Museum's Collections for information about scheduling a visit. To schedule a visit, please fill out an Access Request Form at least six weeks before your desired visit. To schedule a NAGPRA visit, please click here for additional information.
