Molas are the appliquéd front or back panels of a blouse that is part of the traditional dress worn by Kuna women. Following the tradition of Lila O'Neale and her mentor, professor Nelson Graburn, graduate student Mari Lyn Salvador gathered a reference collection of molas. She then interviewed Kuna women about their craft and artistic standards.
